In my tryst with Defence R & D (DRDO), I have been able to establish a unique R&D base in the area of Photonics and Nano-technologies. I can use my expertise and experience to initiate work in these futuristic areas at various upcoming Universities and thereby develop specialized manpower in some of the niche areas. These technologies will have tremendous applications in diverse areas like Robotics, Computation, Sensing, Energy Conservation, Bio - Medical etc. Therefore, pursuit of these technologies is essential, as it will have an all round impact on various sectors that are essential for the country. I can help the core team to formulate a proper strategy so that they are able to achieve their envisaged targets in the stipulated time frame. Besides, I will also be able to leverage my extensive research network by liaising with major domain specific Academic and R&D institutions with in the country and abroad.
