Ashok Kumar Arora is a seasoned professional with more than 35 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry. He is a mechanical engineer from IIT-BHU and has served most of his career working with India’s biggest Oil Refining Company – Indian Oil Corporation. In 2012, he joined the Oil Industry Safety Directorate (OISD), a division of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, as an additional Director and developed himself as a safety expert in the Hydrocarbon sector. During his stint with OISD, he conducted as well as reviewed numerous safety audits for Refineries and Gas Processing units throughout India w.r.t. OISD and other International Safety standards such as API, NFPA etc.Since 2016, he has been working as self employed Trainer & Consultant for the Industry on various regulatory standards viz. OISD, PNGRB, PESO, MSIHC rules, GCR & SMPV rules etc. His major client companies include M/s IOCL, HPCL, BPCL, L&T, Petronet LNG, IndianOil Sky Tanking, NRL, Adani Ports, Nayara Energy, Petrofac & so on.He can be contacted for various statutory training modules as per requirements of OISD, PNGRB & factory inspectorate etc.
