Ashok Kumar Das (Senior Member, IEEE) received a Ph.D. degree in computer science and engineering, an M.Tech. degree in computer science and data processing, and an M.Sc. degree in mathematics from IIT Kharagpur, India. He is currently a full Professor with the Center for Security, Theory and Algorithmic Research, IIIT, Hyderabad, India. He also worked as a visiting research professor with the Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center, Old Dominion University, Suffolk, VA 23435, USA, in 2022 and 2024. His current research interests include cryptography, system and network security including security in smart grid, Internet of Things (IoT), Internet of Drones (IoD), Internet of Vehicles (IoV), Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) and cloud computing, blockchain, AI/ML security, and post-quantum cryptography. He has authored over 420 papers in international journals and conferences in the above areas, including over 355 reputed journal papers. He was a recipient of the Institute Silver Medal from IIT Kharagpur. He has been listed in the Web of Science (Clarivate™) Highly Cited Researcher 2022 and 2024 in recognition of exceptional research performance demonstrated by production of multiple highly cited papers that rank in the top 1% for field and year. He was/is on the editorial board of IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, IEEE Systems Journal, Journal of Network and Computer Applications (Elsevier), Computer Communications (Elsevier), Journal of Cloud Computing (Springer), Cyber Security and Applications (Elsevier), IET Communications, KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Systems, and International Journal of Internet Technology and Secured Transactions (Inderscience).
