Having worked in marketing and operations I have got a chance to work in lots of domains and learn newer things in life!I started off my career with BSNL and worked with the telecommunications giant for over 38 years! There, I gained expertise by working at different positions in operations, working as a commercial officer and gradually moved to middle levels of management in legal operations, business development, sales and marketing!In 2016, I got retired from my services in BSNL and that time, I was working as a Deputy General Manager in Network Operations. Throughout my corporate life, I have actively participated in various social and charity-based initiatives through an international NGO called Bharat Vikas Parishad. I have been the president, district president, and project director of various projects such as Sahyog, Saksharta, and Neev Nirman. Currently, I am State Vice President of Sampark in Chandigarh Prant.My recent brainchild is the Neev Nirman Program that focuses on building 21st-century skills for students, which include working on their computer and presentation skills. Through this initiative, students from various schools in Chandigarh are taught and motivated to participate in PowerPoint presentation competitions on topics related to value-building and positive learning. Another aspect of this program caters to senior students, providing training and guidance to juniors, in turn, learning values such as leadership skills, management skills, and confidence in young volunteers.Now that I have retired from my services, I like to spend most of my time volunteering for different projects related to education, personality development, and counseling. I find satisfaction working for the NGOs and I am always happy to help the ones in need. Besides, I am still in touch with my corporate roots by partnering with a Chandigarh-based digital media and design company called SoftProdigy. I spend a portion of my time working as one of the Directors at the firm. At SoftProdigy, I head departments such as Admin, HR, Operations and Finance.
