Ashok Sridhar was given the responsibility of setting up the first of its kind greenfield facility for Printed Electronics manufacturing in India, and to get this new business unit of an established automotive company off the ground. Ashok was instrumental in setting up this facility near Mumbai, the commercial capital of India. He played a central role in facility planning, equipment selection and negotiation, hiring of qualified engineers, business strategy and strategic partnerships, as well as product roadmapping, all of which were done in alignment with the Board of Management's vision. On the business development side, Ashok nurtured multiple leads and created new ones, both local and international, leading to a healthy revenue pipeline for the near and mid-term future. Being an expert in the Printed Electronics domain, Ashok also guided the product development team to develop products based on tangible customer demands, while mentoring the team members to ensure that the on-the-job learnings are captured and documented efficiently.
