Mr. Ashot Petrosyan is an experienced and qualified expert in statistics, sample surveys and corporate finance.Starting his career in the National Statistical Service of Armenia, he was engaged in the development of national accounts statistics. Later he moved to the Central Bank of Armenia where soon became the head of the real sector statistics and analysis division. Under his control, the division dealt with the development of statistics in Armenia, as well as the implementation of various surveys, such as – surveys on business climate and consumer confidence, inflation expectations, money transfers and personal remittances, agricultural output, tourism. A special project of Micro-data surveys and analysis was also designed and implemented under his control.Mr. Petrosyan was also the initiator of an enterprise rating system which was implemented in the Central Bank of Armenia. Here he dealt mostly with private enterprises, designed the methodology of rating (including financial and nonfinancial analysis) and managed the system.From 2013 he was the head of a new Survey and Analysis Division where all surveys conducted by the Central Bank of Armenia are centralized.Mr. Petrosyan also has extensive teaching experience in several universities and institutions. Main subjects of teaching are “Financial Analysis”, “Corporate Finance”, “Social Economic Statistics”, “Sample Surveys”. Mr. Petrosyan was the main organizer of different international seminars and conferences mostly about real sector statistics or sample surveys.
