Analytical support to chemical synthesis.

1) Provide analytical support for the synthesis of (APIs) new Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients their intermediates (mostly small organic molecules and in some cases the API was small protein or a nucleotide, and impurities through:Developing and optimizing analytical methods to detect major products and impurities using HPLC, HPLC/MS, GC, and GC/MS.Updating instrument records and performing calibration for the analytical instruments. Increasing my familiarity with the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of new instruments, SFC, UPLC, and Ion Chromatography.2) Work under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) conditions through:Performing GMP analysis for raw materials and intermediates and filing the data in Laboratory Informanagement Systems (LIMS).Participating in the GMP review of analytical data of others.Enriching my knowledge of cGMP requirements and compliance through training and classes.3) Coordinate updating and writing the department's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).4) Work as a member of the building safety committee and ensured the workers' compliance with the safety guidelines.

Conducted research on the biochemical and biophysical aspects leading to fruit disorders in apples on the organ and cellular levels. Work included extensive work with membrane polar lipids.Evaluated the oil composition of almonds in relation to its growing regions and to the production of aflatoxin upon inoculation. Work included extensive analysis of oils.

Conducted research on the biochemical and biophysical bases of fruit ripening and frost tolerance in plants. Research involved assessment of cellular membranes chemical and physical properties. Work involved the use of state of the art instruments at the time, i.e. SDS-PAGE.
