Lead Electrical Engineer on the Mozambique LNG Project, a 2 Train, APCI plant. Major Electrical aspects of the project include 14 Substations with ABB Switchgear, including 110kV/33kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) and 11/6.6/0.4kV Arc Flash Rated Switchgear, all with SCADA control thru IEC 61850. In addition, 6 Siemens SGT-800, 54MW Gas Turbine Generators and Diesel Generators along with Ebara Hydraulic Turbines provide power for the plant.The project also has GE Frame 7 turbines with 15MW VFD Helper Motors. In this position I performed the Client role overseeing prime contractors, Saipem & McDermott International. My duties, from a Client perspective included:•Reviewing all electrical design documentation, including Single Lines, Metering & Protection Diagrams, Power Study Models, Datasheets, Layouts, Calculations, Requisitions, Vendor Prints and Bid Evaluations.•Ensuring that design and materials are in line with the Contract and Project Specifications.•Overseeing design & fabrication of the ABB Electrical Substations, SCADA & Power Management Systems, Siemens GTGs, GE 15MW VFD Drives & Motors, Hydraulic Turbines. •Provide responses to Contractors’ Technical Queries, Change Proposal & Deviation Requests.•Attend project HAZOPs and 3D Model Reviews. •Attend all major package vendor Kick Off & Pre-Inspection Meetings, and FATs.•Perform Design Review workshops for project design changes and development.

Cheniere Sabine Pass Liquefaction Train 5 performing role of Senior Startup Engineer in Operations. Responsible for startup and operation of 6 GE Refrigeration Compressors including Gas Turbines (LM2500), Nuovo Pignone Compressors, CCC Anti Surge Controls, Water Injection and Humidification Systems. Responsible for First Fire, Mechanical Run, Air Blows, Emissions and Performance Test on these units. Also, responsible for startup and running of Thermal Oxidizer unit, as well as 2 GE Gas Turbine Generators. In addition, coordinating preparation work and setup for Train 5 Plant Performance Test for turnover to Client. Performing day to day CSU activities of issuing/approving Work Permits (SIMOPS), reviewing LOTO Permits, Line Break Permits, supporting operations in depressurizing/purging of systems for safe work and restoration/restart of systems.

Senior Electrical Startup Engineer on Cheniere Sabine Pass Liquefaction Project responsible for total of 8 substations across a 5 train LNG project. Substation consists of 13.8kV, 4160V & 480V SWGR & MCCs, 13.8/4.16/0.48kV Transformers, Diesel Generators, UPS (DC & AC), Fire & Gas, DCS/SIS, HVAC Systems. Also responsible for all equipment energizations and motor runs (13.8/5/0.48kV). Produced all Energization Safety Plans and Procedures, System Test Packages, and performed Client Demonstration Tests for electrical systems.

Lead E&I Field Engineer on the ConocoPhilips Australia Pacific LNG Project - Module Yard. Responsible for setting up project for all E&I installations, creating and completing all work packages including cable tray, cables, instrumentation, valves, lighting and junction boxes. Producing Bulk Material Take Offs and ordering all E&I material. Ensured Hazardous Area compliance and became EEHA Inspector Certified. Performed system punchlist walkdowns and readiness for module load out.

Lead Instrument FE on the Calpine RCEC Combined Cycle (2x2x1) Gas Power Plant. Produced all instrumentation Installation & Test Packages, Loop Folders for 2 Siemens CTG's, 2 Nooter Eriksen HRSG's and a GE Steam Turbine Generator, 3 Analyzer Shelters as well as OSBL areas. Produced specifications and purchased all bulk materials (pre insulated tubing, fittings, instrument enclosures) set up instrumentation tracking and quantity reporting system, performed punchlist walkdowns and system turnovers.

Instrumentation FE on ConocoPhillips CORE Coker Project. Responsible for instrumentation installations and loop checks for Coker unit, Main activities include providing support to craft by reviewing specs, details, issuing drawings, ordering materials and equipment required to help facilitate installation and testing/loop checking of all standard instruments and specialist equipment including Analyzer Shelters, MOVs, Nuclear Level Gauges, Emergency Evac Systems, Ultrasonic Flow Meters.

Lead Commissioning Engineer on the Transcanada Keystone Pipeline Project, responsible for 7 pump stations, 2 substations (115kV) and 2 delivery terminals with a team of 10 technicians. Performed testing and energizations on all electrical systems, including HV/MV Switchgear, LV MCC & Distribution Systems, UPS, Diesel Generator, Variable Speed Drives/Soft Start Motors. Also performed all loop checks for instrumentation, including transmitters, valves, MOVs, vibration systems as well as performing all Cause & Effect Testing. All site dry commissioning performed prior to product arriving and Client takeover. Performed role of Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) Authority

Developed Project One Lines & Schematics and produced them using MicroStation 2D and AutoCAD.Performed basic Load Flow Analysis, Short Circuit/Arc Flash and Voltage Drop Calculations, performed manually and verified using ETAP Simulation Software.Reviewed Power Relay Co-ordination Study for Power System Protection.Produced Specifications, Material Requisitions, performed Bid Tab Evaluations and Vendor Print Review for Electrical Packages/Bulk Material and Mechanical Packages with electrical interface.

Provided site support at St Fergus gas terminal and at Aberdeen compressor station. Aberdeen compressor station required decommissioning for replacement of leaking valves.

Producing a spares report on switchgear in key substations for use in the National Grid Interim Report produced for OFGEM.
