At Starbucks, I am currently working as the Lead Design Manager on more than 50+ planned stores in the pipeline.Coming into Starbucks in the beginning of 2024, I dove straight into a pipeline of more than 50+ planned store opennings over 2-3 years. My main focus was on setting out a new design process working with our Hong Kong based Asia Pacific Starbucks design team and local architects, developers and builders to deliver our pipeline of new Drive-Thru stores and core stores.While my role was responsible for the design aspects of drive-thru and core stores nationally I have focused on improving the quality of the design documents leading to construction which helped us limit and mitigate build variations and maintain a high standard in accordance with our Starbucks brand. I have delt with projects from site initiation stages to store delivery. The process includes starting with a test fit, to preparing and coordinating drawings for DA lodgement, approving DA documents, coordinating Asia Pacific design drawings, overseeing and managing Issued for Construction (IFC) documents for approval - including architectural and services drawings, coordinating any design RFI’s that might arise on site, holding multiple site meetings with base builder and Starbucks contractors up until project delivery date.Key responsibilities include the following:• Review design development drawings to a high level that comply with BCA requirements, Landlord and Developers Guidelines & Brand specifications.•Liaise/coordinate closely with Property Team and external consultants such as – but not limited to – Builders, Developers and other stakeholders in relation to documentation, drawings and job details.•Ensure design packages are complete and in line with brand design brief and finishes selection.•Develop and coordinate a blueprint set of Starbucks Standard Architectural & Services documents.

At Concept Eight I had the pleasure to collaborate and at many times orchestrate multiple great projects. I was the primary lead project manager and designer of the refurbishment program which I have successfully undergone 25 renovations over the course of 24 months. I also had the pleasure to be the design manager and instrument the project management with our Head of Projects & Construction on more than 20 greenfield restaurants opening nationwide in the same period. A few tasks that I did in my day to day job were: Managing nationwide projects across different states in Australia & provide architectural and design services and expertise. Co-ordinate and manage internal new restaurant openings process. Liaise with and manage various internal and external team members and stakeholders (such as architects, creative agencies, equipment suppliers, builders, landlords & franchise partners) to ensure effective communication and record keeping across multiple projects. Providing accurate drafting & cost estimates of projects along with tendering greenfield projects & refurbs. Managing budgets and project timelines. Coordinating, facilitating and chairing meetings.

I had the pleasure to work with an award-winning custom & luxury home builder in Melbourne. In my short spell working with Arch10, I had the chance to work on 2 residential projects that introduced me to building design in Australia. My key role was translating the ideas into technical well-drafted drawings for construction documents purposes. In addition to that, I was responsible for communicating with the different project consultants for finalizing the documents and submitting them for council approval and acquiring building permits.

During my spell at PAD10, I had the pleasure to work with an amazing team of individuals. This is the place that reassured me that the phrase "Teamwork makes the dream work" is very true! Creative designs, sustainability, and marvelous team effort were the key takings from this spectacular work experience!I worked on a wide aspect of projects that ranged from small residential projects to large-scale high-rise building design and competitions. I participated in projects during different stages of conceptual design, schematic design, design development, and tender documents phases. One of the key project achievements would be working on KFAS Headquarters and Conventional Center competition in Kuwait. Out of 110 architectural firms from 25 countries in a 2-stage international design competition, PAD10 was voted 5th by an international jury. The procedure was organized in agreement with the Union Internationale des Architects (UIA) and the competition was conducted by [phase eins], Berlin-Germany, on behalf of KFAS.

During my Second internship at Kablen Holding, I involved in site work were my key role was an architecture site assistant and some of my responsibilities were organising schedules and subcontractors management. This gave me a great deal of improvement in my management and liaising skills.

During my first real world work experience as an intern at Kablen Holding, I had the chance to experience working on the design of a private residential villa in Mount Lebanon were I was exposed to a lot of design details that resulted in escalating my design expertise to new levels.
