Dr. Ashraf Almimi is currently the CEO of Almimi United Company for Wood and Trading, Managing Partner at GM Profile Company for Wooden Profile and Frames, Assistant Professor at Arab American University in Palestine, and Middle East Regional Director and Director Consultant at Process Management International. Dr. Almimi is highly experienced in building organizational systems and processes for organizations from all sectors and in improving and developing organizations through using internationally recognized methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma. Prior to these positions, he was the director of the Quality Improvement Fund (QIF), which is a World Bank and European Commission funded program and aims to provide support to improve the quality of tertiary education institutions and programs. He has also occupied several positions including: director general of two national training institutions, project manager for several projects funded by DFID, World Bank, and European Commission, and teaching assistant for several courses at Arizona State University. He conducted postdoctoral research at NASA Langley Research Centre in Virginia/USA. This followed the completion of his PhD degree in Industrial Engineering (majoring in quality and reliability engineering) from Arizona State University. Moreover, he obtained two degrees from the University of Birmingham / UK: the first is a master degree in Engineering Project Management and the second is a bachelor degree in Manufacturing Engineering and Business Studies. He has earned several certificates including the Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate, the Graduate Certificate in Statistics, and the ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certificate.
