He previously occupied the role of Chief Investment Officer for GroFin in the Middle East and has also been the Chief Development Officer of the Company since 2016. GroFin is an impact investment firm operating in 14 countries in Africa and the MENA region. GroFin invests in SMEs operating in high impact sectors targeting a blended financial and impact return from these investments. Previously he was the CEO of National Commercial Bank, a Commercial Bank established in April 2015. NCB business lines included Retail, Private, Corporate, SME and International Banking solutions.From 2013 to 2015, he also led Bramer Bank and during his tenure he expanded the retail network, launched a new HQ for the Bank and introduced new customer propositions in Private, Business and International Banking as well as in the Card Business. Under his leadership the Bank’s asset base grew ahead of the industry by more than 30% and the Bank achieved a Brand awareness rating in the Top 5 of the Banking Industry in Mauritius along with several international awards won during the course of 2013 & 2014.He successfully introduced new pioneering instruments in Automotive, Equipment & Real Estate Leasing including Islamic Finance whilst at the head of Mauritius Leasing, the largest & publicly quoted Asset Finance Company in Mauritius since 2007.He has a diverse set of skills and executive experience in various key sectors including more recently Real Estate Development with the Mont Choisy Group. He is also the Founder and Director of finnpact (www.finnpact.com), an impact and development focused advisor that designs and implement programmatic and fund solutions to address the demands of emerging and frontier markets in Africa and the Middle East.Holds an MBA from the University of Surrey and including qualifications in Management Accountancy and Information Technology. He has gained significant cross industry experience in Banking, Financial Services, FMCG & Technology during his career. He is also an Alumni of the prestigious Said Oxford Business School.
