The traditional propulsion system in satellites are HYDRAZINE based which is extremely toxic, carcinogenic and has lower performance (specific impulse). We have invented an alternate green propellant based propulsion system which is very less toxic (40 times) and has higher performance (up to 25%) hence reducing the weight of satellites leading to reduction in operational and launch cost of the satellite up to 30%.

• Took over responsibility to obtain a launch slot for Pratham which aims at mapping of Total Electron Count for GPS correction and Tsunami prediction, from ISRO Satellite Center (ISAC)• Calibrated and validated the performance of space sensors and actuator in simulated space environment at ISAC• Contributed to the development of orbital flight software by interfacing electrical hardware with control law• Conceptualized and implemented On Board In-Loop Simulations (OILS) for performing real time testing of flight software and hardware by simulating space environment in MATLAB• Successfully performed thermo-vacuum test of the satellite at ISAC to validate complete hardware and software functionality of the satellite under varying thermal loads, which marked 90% of mission success• Successfully presented the subsystem’s design and test results in Critical Design Review (CDR) and Pre-Shipment Review (PSR) to ISAC experts and procured a launch slot through PSLV-C35 in September, 2016
