Our lab focuses on how exercise and pharmaceutical agents impact the growing skeleton. We use different genetically modified animal models to help answer our research questions. At this time we are studying the serotonin transporter (5-HTT) which works to move serotonin molecules into cells and is found on cells in the brain, intestines and skeleton.
