I grew up in a beautiful, rural logging town. The residents were familial and generous, but faced many challenges such as poverty, food insecurity, and lack of access to quality education, medical services, and preventative care. Witnessing the resilience of my community inspired me to seek higher education, advocate for community needs, and pursue a career in public health. I want to help create safe and healthy communities where families thrive. After graduating from the University of Idaho, I started building a career in public health. I worked for the Division of Public Health, supporting the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program for several years then coordinated a pilot program integrating clinical pharmacy into primary care. I am skilled in grant management, continuous quality improvement, and relationship-building. Colleagues describe me as dedicated, passionate, and empathetic and rely on me to build relationships and creatively problem-solve with partners. I studied for my Master of Public Health at Boise State University to strengthen my skills in leadership, systems innovation, research, and evaluation.
