Ashton Easter officially joined Fahe in May 2021 as Disaster Resilience Coordinator for the organization’s SAMHSA-grant-funded Disaster Resilience Program. In this position, she recruited vendors, administered client intake and eligibility verification, facilitated home repairs, property repairs, basic needs, and transportation assistance worth over $98,000 to 45 clients. Mrs. Easter also assisted the team in utilizing Salesforce to record client data and conversations while implementing reporting features to create visual charts utilized for grant deliverables.In her current Disaster Resilience Coordinator role on the Programs Team, Mrs. Easter supports the recently established Fahe Disaster Resilience Team, focused on flood relief following the July 2022 flooding and mudslides in Eastern Kentucky. She supports long term disaster relief efforts alongside Fahe Members and develops partnerships across the flood impacted EKY region through VOAD and county Long Term Recovery Groups, Appalachian Cradle to Career, Kentucky River Area District Development, the Kentucky Disaster Funders Round Table, and local government officials. She facilitates the Housing Can’t Wait coalition across Fahe’s Network and other Eastern Kentucky partners and supports Fahe’s DR Team in areas of grant and project management, relationship management, and System of Record development and management.Mrs. Easter holds a BS in Public Health with a Minor in Disaster Management from Eastern Kentucky University and has completed four FEMA IS Courses through the Emergency Management Institute, as well as the SBP CDBG-DR Leader Practitioner Course in 2023. Mrs. Easter is a certified KY CDBG and CDBG-DR Administrator and has completed two NeighborWorks Training Institute courses. She and her husband reside in Clarksville, TN, and she enjoys spending time with her 3 cats and engaging in various indoor and outdoor activities.
