• Instruct students to become proficient and comfortable SCUBA divers.• Manage public communications and relations through social media networks.• Communicate with customers to provide information on classes, equipment purchases, local diving and dive travel.

Provides support, as directed, to the export control personnel at all three institutions and has broad exposure to all tasks related to University and National Laboratory export control compliance.Works closely with institution export control personnel regarding the identification of awards that may require monitoring for export control purposes.Reviews and advises on institutional contracts for export control compliance.Screens foreign involvement in University activities.Assists principle investigators (PI's) and other individuals involved in the conduct of research to understand compliance issues associated with the transfer of materials, restrictions of foreign nationals in labs, and publication restrictions, etc.Assesses whether export control licenses are required and secures necessary licenses from applicable federal agencies.Assists with the development and promulgation of export control training for institution personnel.Works to keep institution export control guidance and materials up to date and available on institution websites.Prioritizes work in order to complete assignments on a timely basis.Partners with institutional export control staff and business units/departments regarding all activities associated with research administration in a timely and fiscally responsible manner.Maintains appropriate data entry into institutional database for all export control reviews ensuring data quality and documentation of any institutional risk.Gains and maintains thorough understanding of University and sponsorregulations.Continuously seeks to improve University Research Administration (URA) processes for sponsored projects.

• Supports Basic Science Administration – a centralized administrative unit that oversees business operations for 5 basic science departments, two department-based centers, and an FSM-wide center & institute in the Feinberg School of Medicine.• Team Lead and backup for the Procurement Manager to support the Procurement Team’s efforts towards managing transactions, training, communications, escalations, and workflow routing for departments, centers, and institutes served by BSA.• Cross-trained backup for tasks managed by the BSA Financial Management Team: PI account reconciliation workbooks, journal entries, budget projections, and other post-award management.

• Provides day-to-day financial & accounting support using an advanced knowledge of applicable skills, methods & practices & some innovation, analysis, & reasoning to choose appropriate alternatives from among pre-defined policies & procedures to complete work that includes successive steps & involves some non-routine problems &/or decisions. • Applies industry and professional standards, university policy and procedure, federal and state laws and other regulations.• Provides administrative &/or clerical support.
