In this position I have conducted numerous criminal investigations into a myriad of crimes to include narcotics, complex fraud, sexual assault and rape, felonious assault, and homicide. In the furtherance of these duties I have conducted multiple ancillary investigative activities to include managing confidential informants, surveillance, technician of surveillance equipment and installation, evidence seizure and control. I have also authored and executed search and arrest warrants. I have in cooperation with the DEA, PATROL Auto Theft Task Force and ATF/DOC Fugitive Task Force, investigated larger scale criminal organizations. In this position I have testified in court, prepared detailed written reports, secured and processed evidence and crime scenes. I’ve served as a member of this agency’s Crime Scene Response Team, and have been called out to major incidents to include felony assaults, vehicular assaults, officer involved shootings and homicides. I am a Negotiator and team member of the Valley Crisis Communications Unit. As a negotiator, I respond to in progress crisis events and pre-planned SWAT warrants. I spent one year teaching D.A.R.E. to elementary aged children. This provided the opportunity to speak in public and learn techniques to make me a better instructor. I served as a uniformed Police Officer for the City of Auburn. This position entailed criminal prevention and apprehension of both felon and misdemeanor offenders through investigation, observation and dispatched details. I have received extensive training through the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission. I am a regularly appointed commissioned officer of the Auburn Police Department, King County, State of Washington. In September of 2011, I received one of the City’s highest awards, the Medal of Distinction.
