The Minnesota Young DFL (MYDFL) was founded in 1947 through the efforts of William Kubicek, a medical student at the University of Minnesota’s Twin Cities campus. MYDFL quickly grew into one of the most influential and active constituency caucuses within the Minnesota DFL Party.​MYDFL’s mission is to engage young Democrats to participate in Minnesota and national politics, identifying and advancing progressive issues, developing and supporting young candidates, sustaining community partnerships, and developing leadership in young progressive Minnesotans.​MYDFL empowers young people, giving them a voice to advocate for youth issues. MYDFL gives young people the leadership experience they need to excel in politics, non-profits, and business.

Worked directly under the Executive Director in researching, advising, and advocating for legislation that directly affects the goals and mission of ACCAP in low-income family education, homelessness prevention, and senior citizen rights. Met and worked with Minnesota Community Action Program, Minnesota State Agencies, and elected officials to promote and understand positions on our vision.

Representing and bringing up concerns of the students in the College of Visual & Performing Arts (2,000-3,000 students).Served on the Finance Committee as a voting member, vice chair, and allocation interviewer for $200,000 in student group allocations. Served on the Ethics and Oversight committee as a voting member.

Representing Phillip-Hawkins residents to the UNCG Residential Hall Association as a voting member.
