Ashton Usher is a monitoring and evaluation (M&E) coordinator with experience in managing and implementing M&E activities for USAID based projects. He has been in full time employment in NICDAM from October 2020 as an M&E manager and since then has worked on USAID prescribed projects involving adolescent young girls and women (AGYW) through the ChommY, BRIDGE and FHI360 programs and family based interventions through the DREAMS Let’s Talk program. Through the DREAMS layering referral processes, Ashton has experience in Gender Based Violence (GBV) responses and the processes to be followed in dealing with these cases. He is master trained in the facilitation of the Let’s talk program, has a qualification in Planning for Monitoring and Evaluation from Philanthropy University and holds an Honours degree in Pharmacology from the University of Pretoria. Ashton worked for two years as a lecturer in Academic Information Management at the University of Pretoria. He is articulate, a good team player, has a passion for community development and inspires a strong work ethic in the people he is associated with.
