Ashton J Harrewyn works as a cinematographer on features, episodic, commercials and music videos. Ashton spent his early career working in the lighting department on major motion pictures including The Fighter, The Social Network, Labor Day, Zookeeper & Grown Ups 2. Ashton’s award winning, feature work has screened at festivals internationally, including Roads To Olympia which is currently streaming on HBO in Latin America. Most recently, Ashton lensed a Feature Film in Istanbul, Turkey featuring famous pop star, Edis Görgülü. Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and based in Burlington, Vermont. With an upbringing from a Belgian, Pastry Chef and South African, Interior Designer, Ashton was exposed to craft from an early age. Ashton’s work has taken him around the world, including Jordan, Brazil, South Africa, Switzerland and all over the United States. Ashton is always looking to collaborate with others on compelling projects, especially stories with a unique and creative vision. Ashton is a member of the International Cinematographers Guild, Local 600.
