The primary role of the Executive Director Business Developmentis to work closely with the Managing Director and Board of Directors to actively secure the organization’s long-term financial growth by setting and implementing strategic goals for Kilimanjaro Systems social enterprise. The role includes both identifying revenue generating opportunities for Kilimanjaro Systems , as well as managing key client relationships, in line with Kilimanjaro Systems overarching Mission and Vision.Duties and Responsibilitiesof this position include:Strategic Planning1.To define and develop the long term strategic goalsfor Business Development, in line with Kilimanjaro Systems’s overall strategic context2.To identify new revenue-generation opportunities that enhance and promote Kilimanjaro System’s Mission and Vision StatementsFinancial/Business Planning and Budgeting 3.To analyze the progress of revenue generation goals and make recommendations for adjustments/interventions as required4.To identify opportunities to bid for and acquire new projects5.To research and recommend grant and funding opportunities6.To participate in proposal preparation as neededSales, Marketing and Business Development7.To identify opportunities for both marketing and selling Kilimanjaro System’s products and services8.To actively close deals for new fee for service projects and initiativesClient Relationship Management9.To actively manage key relationships with existing and prospective clients10.To work closely with partners, consultants and staff as needed on the delivery
