Ashutosh is a dynamic business leader with over 25 years of experience in the Banking industry with focus on Transaction Banking and Corporate, Commercial and Institutional Banking. He has successfully transformed as well as built businesses during the last 15 years. He is currently the MD, & Head of Global Transaction Banking, Asia Pacific at Mizuho Bank where he is responsible for creating and executing the strategy and driving digital transformation of the Global Transaction Banking business.Ashutosh believes that digital capabilities, Industry Ecosystem solutions and partnerships will lead to a sustainable growth in the industry. Ashutosh is known for his passion for talent development and his unwavering commitment to innovation. Before joining Mizuho, Ashutosh was with Standard Chartered Bank as the Global Head of Working Capital and prior to that he was the Global Head – Transaction Banking Sales, Commercial Banking where he is responsible for creating and executing the strategy, client and sales management across the global network. Prior to this he led the Transaction Banking business in ASEAN & South Asia where he was responsible for creating and executing the strategy for the business as well as leading and driving the innovation and digital agenda for Payments & Cash Management as well as Trade Finance for the region. Before this, Ashutosh was responsible for starting Banking the Ecosystem business where he leveraged data and digital capabilities to build credit, information and business models to create industry value propositions to seamlessly bank the “Industry Ecosystems”. He was also the Global Head of Cash Management with overall responsibility for the business. Previously, Ashutosh was Regional Head Transaction Banking, India and South Asia. Prior to this, he was Global Head of Corporate Cash and Trade Product Management with global responsibility for building the product management capabilities of both Trade Finance and Cash Management including leading the Unity Program to build and standardise the Liquidity Management and Payments infrastructure across 44 countries.Before joining Standard Chartered in 2005, Ashutosh held various positions in ABN AMRO’s global trade business in the Asia-Pacific region.Ashutosh is recognised as an industry leader and has held the position of Chair of Global Trade Industry Council (GTIC) at BAFT-IFSA, and member of the advisory board of the ICC Banking Commission. He was also a member of WTO Experts’ Committee on Trade. Ashutosh lives in Singapore with his wife, daughter and son.
