Molecular Breeding, Marker assisted backcross breeding, QTL mapping , GWAS, Biofortification Plant biotechnology. Associated with development and characterization of India first herbicide tolerant Near Isogenic Lines of a mega Basmati rice variety,“Pusa Basmati 1121” and “Pusa Basmati 1509” (doi.org/10.1186/s12284-020-00423-2).  Associated with development and commercial released of five Basmati rice varieties namely, Pusa Basmati (PB) 1718, PB 1728, Pusa 1884, PB 1885 and PB 1886 for bacterial leaf blight and blast disease resistance using markers assisted backcross breeding. Mapped novel QTLs governing the localization of Fe and Zn in the Rice Grain using GWAS approaches through high throughput SNP genotyping. Associated with, development of high throughput screening protocol and identification of novel sources of resistance against bakanae disease in rice (DOI: 10.5958/0975-6906.2014.00864.5). Mapped a novel QTL qBK1.2 responsible for resistance to Bakanae disease in Rice (doi.org/10.1186/s12284-016-0117-2). Associated with development of bacterial blight resistant Basmati rice varieties Pusa Basmati 1718 and Pusa Basmati 1728 carrying xa13+Xa21 in the genetic background of mega Basmati Rice varieties Pusa Basmati 1121 and Pusa Basmati 6,repectively (doi.org/10.1016/j.plantsci.2015.08.020). Involved in improvement of Pusa Basmati 1121 for seedling stage salinity tolerance(doi.org/10.3389/fpls.2017.00041).
