As a child, I was often in and out of hospitals due to personal circumstances. Something that always caught my eye was the respect that doctors commanded and the depth of their knowledge. I believed that becoming an adult automatically endowed one with such wisdom if they chose to pursue it. Though my youthful viewpoint evolved, my desire to earn respect and help people remained steadfast. Initially, I was set on becoming a doctor, but life had other plans. As the son of an IITian, I followed the engineering path.Years later, I discovered another opening: Biomedical Engineering. I realized that while my work might not have the same accreditation as a doctor’s, it could impact many lives simultaneously, including those of my loved ones. Armed with a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences and Engineering from Tampere University, one of the best institutions in Finland, I am excited to contribute to the development and manufacture of medical devices and processes. My journey includes co-authoring two research papers on Pulmonary Function Testing during my B.Tech in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Symbiosis Institute of Technology. As a Research Assistant at Tampere University, I collaborated on the ‘Machine learning for gait analysis and performance prediction’ project, achieving high-accuracy predictions of oxygen consumption using LSTM neural networks. Additionally, my internship as a Test Engineer at Vistar Electronics Pvt. Ltd. involved facilitating the installation of solar PV farms, ensuring 100% accuracy in resolving quality control issues. In my Master's Thesis on Person Identification using E-Nose, I achieved an accuracy rate of over 90% using classical machine learning algorithms. Leading a 12-member team, I successfully conceptualized an innovative spinal cord stimulation device, significantly improving healing and pain management. With expertise in data analysis, signal processing, circuit design, and regulatory compliance, along with soft skills in resilience, leadership, and organization, I am eager to contribute my skills and knowledge to the biomedical industry. I am proficient in Python, C/C++, Altium, LTSpice, COMSOL Multiphysics, and MATLAB, and I bring a diverse linguistic background with fluency in English and Hindi, and basic proficiency in French and Finnish.I look forward to advancing in the biomedical engineering field, where I can merge my technical skills with my passion for improving healthcare outcomes.
