I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering. My advisor is Prof. Shivendra Panwar, and my research is in the areas of low latency networking and wireless communications. Most recently, I have been working on low delay TCP congestion control and distributed resource allocation for 5G device-to-device (sidelink) communications.I worked as a wireless systems engineering intern at Qualcomm in the summer of 2023 and at Meta (Facebook) Reality Labs in the summer of 2022. These experiences helped me gain a broader understanding of how fundamental research is applied to develop the latest wireless technology and products. I plan to graduate from my Ph.D. program in May 2024 and am looking to start a career in the industry post-graduation. Before joining NYU, I completed my Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (India) in June 2019. My previous research experience as an undergrad includes 5G testbed design & and simulation, convex optimization for UAV communications, VR performance analysis in mmWave 5G networks, and Machine-type communications (M2M) using 4G LTE systems.
