Job role and responsibilities:1.)Meet and exceed press targets by optimizing the operation of the press.2.)Ensure operators are conducting quality checks for visual & dimensional requirements as well as according to control plans or test inspection procedures.3.)Start each shift on time and ensure all team members are assigned work.4.)Ensure operators check press alignment once per week using the die slide.5.)Train operators, troubleshoot problems and make adjustments when required.6.)Ensure paperwork and Epics entries are complete and correct at each stage of production. Also ensure cut material is properly tagged.7.)Ensure any material that is out of spec is either scrapped or rectified. If material needs to be kept for QA approval or subsequent re-work, ensure it is properly tagged with a red tag. Try to resolve these problems promptly and leave as little as possible for subsequent decisions or re-work.8.)Provide feedback to die shop and scheduler regarding any unusual die performance.9.)Ensure compliance with all quality related policies, procedures and system requirements.

I worked in Foundry Division under the guidance of Mr. O.P. Yadav.This division produces Cooling shell,Agitator,Tube Plate Cover with/without Nozzle,Tube Sheet,Ring,Taper Ring, Machine Bed,Dies and other components used in carbonation plants by using Full Moulding & Pattern Moulding processes. Furan resin sand system is used here. Sand reclamation is done by Omega sand plant, Sogemi sand plant and IMF sand plant. Grid blast,Shot blast,Grinder and Chipping machines are used for fettling operation.Ultrasonic and Hydro testing ensure defects free castings. Castings are of different grades of Grey Cast Iron and Ductile Iron.Company has Chemical and Material Testing labs to ensure proper grade and mechanical properties. Induction Furnaces are used to produce melt . Production is around 600 metric tons per month. Some Customers include - Berezniki Soda (Russia),GHCL (Ahemadabad),Solvay (Spain),BSK (Russia), TATA Chemical, Nirma limited,BHEL HYD.

I learnt CNC programs used for CNC Turning (SINUMERIK, FANUC, SIEMENS) and CNC Milling ( HEIDENHAIN,FANUC).I also operated CNC Turning machine.
