Held a senior demand planner position at Viatris Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Demand Planner and Supply Planner and my major objective was to develop and implement Inventory plans that will enable the organization to meet Sales and Service objectives. I also managed 2 Demand Planners and a Logistics Administrator.Key Deliverables are; Database Management: Ongoing maintenance of the Forecasting, Purchase Orders and Sales Planning database. Reporting: Extraction, generation and analysis of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly stock reports from the above database’, to: Assess current stockholding, planned orders, sales history and forecasting of future planned orders.  Provide real time reporting to the Head of Supply Chain South Africa, for global reporting purposes.  Planning Requirements: Analyse, assess, calculate and conclude immediate ST and LT planning requirements of individual SKU’s.  Ongoing liaison with Quality department re: quarantine, short-dated stock, blocked and returned stock, and potential stock releases, to optimize working capital and stockholding levels.  Implementation of finalized demand plan and ongoing liaison with suppliers and other relevant third parties.  Engage with distributors to stock receiving, stock holding, reworking of stock, and stock write-offs.  Ongoing liaison with agents, to ensure effective forwarding, shipping, clearing and delivery of stock shipments.  S&OP: Drive and facilitate S&OP forum.  New Product Introduction: Attend and contribute to NPI forum and collate all necessary information, so as to provide planning analysis to Quality, Sales, Marketing, Regulatory and Finance teams.

•I held a Supply Chain Managerial post in Warehousing and Demand/Production planning at Cipla Mirren. My key role included managing customer demand requirements, the planning of production, warehousing and distribution of products and managing the procurement of direct/indirect materials & services.

• Overseen demand/production planning and indirect procurement at Cipla. My key role in Demand/Production Planning ensures alignment with customer demands and the procurement of direct /indirect materials and services. My role also extended out to the Co-ordination of activities within the Warehouse and continuous tracking of production from start (dispensing) to the end (release of goods for despatch). My duties included: Co-ordinate with all departments to ensure adequate supply and ensure efficient movement of materials. Manage material availability & incoming materials from suppliers. Forecast plans for anticipated materials requirements as per customer orders. Liaise with customers regarding their demand/ requirements. Using customer demand, draw up and execute production plan as per production capacity and availability of materials. Using data from MRP system to determine raw & packaging materials quantity to be ordered. Send out Material Requirements to the Procurement team to proceed with the procurement of materials required to meet the production plan. Review ERP documentation for receipts, issues, transfers, write-offs, etc. Oversee & coordinate daily activities with support staff & provide guidance and coaching to all support staff to ensure Production/Demand plans are achieved.• My procurement related activities included; Planning deliveries at the right time, the right quantities, and at the right cost at the right quality.  Overseeing the maintenance of contract prices and tracking purchase, price variance. Investigate and introduce cost drawn initiatives including analyses and potential alternatives sources of supply. Manage overseas orders, shipping, clearing and foreign payment. Obtain comparative pricing for both contractual works and the supply of goods and monitoring the delivery and supply performance of applicable vendors. Control of raw materials and consumable stocks list and running reports in SYSPRO system.

I am currently in charge of managing 36 different suppliers(mainly FMCG suppliers). I engage in negotiations with suppliers to ensure Pharmed is offering their products at the most competitive pricing to clients. I negotiate certain spend and rebates which ensures GP targets are obtain and sustained. It is my duty to price the products of the suppliers that I handle. I also assist management in improving the performance of the procurement department by determining loss sales and generate reports that assists my department in managing regrets on sales.
