Structural Engineer
Current- Involved in designing structural elements for Residential, Commercial and High-rise buildings in accordance with British standard. Currently managing five projects in different stages from preliminary, tender and construction stages. Conducting meetings with clients, architects, consultants such M&E and contractors are frequently performed to discuss on the progress on-site, discrepancies between drawings of different consultants and design practicality.- Performed manual calculations to determine the main and shear reinforcement, checking of deflection, cracking, beam torsion, punching shear and column slenderness for 2- story residentials and 6 to 11-story commercial buildings in compliance with international design code i.e. BS8110-1-1997, MS EN 1991-1-4:2017, BS6399-1-1996.- Evaluated the design of structure elements using RC spreadsheet of one-way slab, two-way slab, simply supported beam, continuous beam, single and multiple staircase, beam torsion, column design, shear reinforcement and pile cap design.- Reviewed and verified shop drawings of BRC slab, roof truss and scaffolding for 2-storey residentials. - Prepared detailed structure drawings i.e. floor plans, beam details, column schedule, staircase, slab and piling layout and details for authority submission (Building Plan & calculation), preliminary and tender stage for 2-story residential and 6 to 11- story commercial building.- Utilized building information modelling software (REVIT) in creating and visualizing the 3D models of architectural, M&E and structure where it is fused together to identify any discrepancies between consultant’s drawings.
