Install Oracle database 10g/11gR2, create new databases, Upgrade database from Oracle 10g to Oracle 11gR2 (11.2.0.2) including upgrading of Oracle Clusterware and Oracle ASM (for Clustered databases), upgraded Oracle Golgengate from version 10 to version 11, migrate database from HP-UX to Solaris. Defined strategies for setting up database replication from HP-UX located at Amdocs site to Linux located at Clearwire data center after migrating databases from HP-UX to Solaris and setting up Oracle Goldengate Extract/Pump/Replicat processes. Used logical backup/Restore i.e. data pump (expdp/impdp) to setup DB replication among Solaris and Linux due to endianness incompatibility. Migrated very large tables/Indexes to Partitioned tables/ Indexes for space management and minimize down time during purging old data. Developed scripts for monitoring databases health checks, capacity planning, performance monitoring, perform RMAN backups etc. Also developed scripts for loading data from multiple different databases to Oracle database for comparison and report generation, created script for generating database/application reports. Supported highly critical UAT and Production Databases and Oracle goldengate 24x7, coordinated with application teams, Unix team, Oracle support etc. to resolve issues with databases/Oracle GG replication.
