A brief summary of the projects that i was involved in and my contributions1)Design and Development of an Advanced Bullet Tracking System: - Acoustic phased array approach to detect location of supersonic bullet on the target. Related to concepts in Gas Dynamics and Aeroacoustics. - Involved in developing LabVIEW/MATLAB based algorithms - Real-time detection and on-line processing on NI cRIO involving coding on FPGA through LabVIEW Interface - Handled the product design, extensive field testing and integration.2)Dynamic Simulation of stores release from a fighter aircraft - Essential for integration and safe release of stores during flight - drop tests in the large low-speed wind tunnel - Video data capturing and detection of missile trajectory using MATLAB Image processing3) Acoustic Characterization of an indigenous Wankel engine - Developed an algorithm on MATLAB to compute the energy spectrum. - Resulted in modification of the engine to significantly reduce the noise emmisions4) Correlation analysis of Jet noise from aerospike nozzles and Convergent-Divergent (Bell) nozzles - Use of statistics in MATLAB to understand the contribution of various components of jet noise - International publication5) Improvement of resolution of Background Oriented Schlieren (BOS) - Various types of Background pattern generated through use of image processing in MATLAB - 3D reconstruction of density data using inverse tomography6) Flow control and Noise reduction of Engine exhausts - Techniques such as, active : Plasma actuators; passive: chevrons, tabs7) Prediction tool in MATLAB to compute noise levels from a Launch vehicle during lift off and its mitigation through water injectionAWARDS : Best Innovation Award, 2013 Best Poster on Innovative Idea, 2013Best laboratory award to NAL for conducting dynamic separation tests, 2013

Was part of the Post Graduate Research Program in Engineering (PGRPE) conducted by CSIR, India subsequent to which i was conferred a Master's degree in Flight Vehicle Engineering. Whilst a Scientist Trainee i was involved in the following activities:1) Characterization of the acoustic behaviour of Aerospike nozzles - As part of my Master's thesis. - Resulted in an International publication2) Automation of Jet Aeroacoustics Research Facility - Developed a facility automation program thorugh 'PID control' using LabVIEW3) Gained knowledge on the use of flow measurement techniques - Density based technique Background Oriented Schlieren - PIV, LDV, Hot wire anemometers - Pressure measurements using Pressure Sensitive Paints (PSP)
