Booking the events for recording by remote booking using the software VGC.The DMT 5 STB has an in-built hard disk and Wi-Fi connectivity feature which will allow the user to record current and future date events and download assets and items from their VIDEO ON DEMAND feature which has a list of assets such as movies, music, serials, cartoons, educational content, sports, kids etc. wherein a user can buy an asset by paying a minimal sum or can buy a catalog coming as an offer from VIDEO ON DEMAND.Responsibilities:• Finding defects thru adhoc & exploratory testing & logging them using QC.• Executing regression test cases & publishing the reports.• Setting up the environment by making the changes needed in Headend and test the same.• Created Documents like How to bring up the new Samsung STB, creating runtime for Samsung DMT5 7356.• Have written ATP documents which will be shared with customer for testing during Acceptance testing.• Execution of ATP with customer at client location i.e. onshore Malaysia.• Automation using in house Tools.• Worked on Hybrid , Wi-Fi , IP PVR , GSA, CD App, VOD and PVR features. • Have also delivered projects by leading the team, coordinating with customer and vendors.• Preparing the test plan or doing test strategy. In this project we use to check for the different functionality of the driver features by doing regression testing, we use to check for the compatibility with different OS platforms like Windows Vista, XP, 2003 server, 2008 server with the same 32 bit and 64 bit versions and also MAC OS. Here we will qualify the driver features by testing and logging defects as well. Developers and testers will work parallel. We will be testing for driver versions like PS, PCL randomly according to the test strategy.Xerox-PSQA (Product Software Quality Assurance)Title : Firmware testing.Client : Xerox Corporation, USOperating System : Windows Vista, Apple Mac Description: PSQA is directed towards the testing of the Printer Firmware which includes Protocols, and Multiple Functionalities of the MFP’s which has support for various OS environments.
