Hi, my name is Ashwin, and I recently passed the CFA Level 1 exam at the 90th percentile. I graduated at the top of my class and spent most of my university career pursuing self-sustenance, which arose from the greed to graduate from a recognized university despite coming from meager beginnings. Achieving over $50K from scholarships, working several jobs and internships each term and engaging in miscellaneous entrepreneurship ventures, allowed me to quench my insatiable thirst for an education whilst igniting a passion for investing.Apart from my achievements, beyond my resume that endeavours to substantiate the impact I've had on a company, is an individual seeking to make society a better place - through the power of financial literacy and education.Being a first-generation immigrant, who pursued a STEM certification in high school, education transformed my life. All the moments I spent at the corner of the library delving into countless books helped me overcome a transition barrier and embrace the complexities of a culture that was quite different from mine. But since, I worked diligently to engulf the change, whether it was through being a university tutor for 3 terms, working overtime at various financial organizations, volunteering for research projects, or mentoring my juniors. Traversing within this industry and realizing its vast potential has not only urged me to strive harder in my daily conquests but to also pursue my vision of revolutionizing people’s financial futures and the industry itself!I see stories in the exacting verse and fiction I compose, yet also in the theoretical sense. In numbers, in financial statements, I notice ideas that converge and compel me to narrate their stories; not as discrete subsections, but rather as a novel - a montage of ideas gently woven together. I weave webs of connections between numerical conjectures, financial models, statistical analyses, programming languages and real-life applications.Through LinkedIn, I desire to introduce a bona fide variant of my encounters that are not encompassed by my resume.
