Working as Mainframe Batch and Console Operations Analyst with below key responsibilities: Monitor mainframe batch job streams, fixing and escalating abends, observing the status of job scheduling, investigating for long running jobs or loop back issues with batch jobs. Analyzing, Troubleshooting, Escalating and Resolving Batch events within stringent SLA environment. Monitor batch cycles jobs and report statistics to client. Provide proactive judgement and decision making to ensure Batch SLA flow is intact and taking all necessary action to meet SLA. Managing Consoles and respond to WTOR based on console messages. Ensuring to perform regular health checks on consoles and ensure console messages like memory/CPU utilization, spool space alerts are acted upon within time. Performing Z/OS IPL when need to bring the system down for maintenance and load again using HMC. Performing Pre IPL and Post IPL process and checks. Ensuring proper execution of NDM file transmission process and take action in case of failed transmission. Perform CICS recycle as per request, also monitoring CICS regions CPU utilization and taking action if needed. Maintain the production job schedule and ensures the schedule is adhered to maintain performance. Modify predecessors and successors to the existing job. Performing TWS/CA7 ad-hoc request to Schedule jobs per request. Review daily abend reports to determine jobs that may require further action for permanent solutions. Prepare checklist and documents for team reference. Virtual Tape monitoring, Mirror reflection monitoring to ensure Datacenter connectivity. Ensuring support along with documentation on maintenance activities such as Disaster Recovery (DR) Managing and leading team at times, assigning task and training new joiners in the team.
