Senior Software Engineer worked in vehicle health data management products on civil aviation platforms. For the on-board maintenance system worked with the system team to develop software requirements for the next generation features. Member of the architecture team responsible for developing the complete product architecture for a Japanese OEM infotainment system that integrates the navigation, entertainment and connectivity with touch, voice or commander control on a Linux platform. Developed architecture model in Rhapsody. Provide basic design concept for component integration and overall architectural deployment. As a member of software systems team was involved in Requirement analysis, Data Persistency, Memory Estimates, and Memory Actuals.Responsible for analysis and resolution of critical issues with the infotainment system product. Categorized issues, prioritized them and provides direction to the engineering teams to implement the solutions. Lead feature development of software upgrade for multimedia infotainment system on the Linux platform. Understand the software upgrade requirements and create component architecture layout for the feature. Support for manufacturing team to update multiple units. Mentor & train the global infotainment teams. Help the teams in Bulgaria & India to further develop their knowledge and capability

Lead the software development for a Radar Based Rear and Side Collision detection system for a European OEM in the Active Safety organization. The system alerts the driver when another vehicle is in it’s rear or side lane and is implemented on the TI Jacinto Multicore (ARM & DSP) platform. Responsible for integration of radar signal based object recognition algorithms into the platform. Created the base architecture to provide separation of concern that allowed algorithm development to be done independently. Responsible for all software design, development, implementation & verification on the DSP core.Worked closely with System Engineering organization to define system constraints, interfaces and other critical technical parts. Created capability to allow configuration of algorithm parameters that allowed quick tuning of the system.

Develop architecture & lead the software development for an advance development Bluetooth hands-free radio project. Migrated the project to production for a Japanese OEM. The radio integrates the Bluetooth, echo/noise cancellation, voice recognition, voice playback and voice compression on the TI OMAP platform. Requirement analysis, MIPS/Memory estimation, laying/placement of software blocks on the ARM/DSP core, design an efficient data exchange between cores. Advanced development project for a customer to develop off board navigation solution. Integrate software modules on the QNX OS for the SH4 Navicore platform. Implemented the system to boot up and switch to the USB drive to run the applications. Design, develop the solution for on board computer to provide multiple user services with Bluetooth interface. Develop a data monitor tool on the SH4 platform that would connect to the PC to provide system information. Selected as Mentor in the global coaching initiative. Mentored software engineers in the China Technical Center in Rear Seat Entertainment project in design, processes and technology.

Integrate the MP3 decoder solution for a radio on the TI OMAP platform using DSPBIOS as the OS. Build the supporting framework for connecting audio paths. Use the ID3 information in the data files for sorting purposes to allow the user to access music conveniently. Used in North American OEM program.Integrate the digital compatible modem in the DSP for the telematics solution on a TI DSP platform. The voice recognition and prompt playback for the user guidance were part of this system. The echo / noise cancellation algorithm provided the hands-free experience to the end users. The technology used on several Japanese OEM programs.Supported the effort to reuse the software blocks for the various functions to be able to use them across all the DSP projects. As various host controllers were being used in different projects that used the DSP, it was important that the interface between the host controllers and the DSP module be reused.Develop and implement strategy to debug the prototype hardware. Support the hardware builds by creating initial test software for peripheral communication. Build the test suite to support manufacturing test requirements. Developed startup software for the processor and memory layout. Also developed the flash drivers, codec driver, RAM and debug serial port to communicate to PC.Developed the translation required for the hardware interface between the processor and the peripherals in the PLD. Developed the glue logic implemented in the PLD. Software used in North American & Japanese OEM production programs.Implement the product feature for Voice Recording and playback using compression techniques for efficient storage and reproduction on the DSP. Translated the C based ADPCM algorithm to hand coded assembly language for efficiency.

Worked in the Software Division of Alternate Fuel Control testing engine control modules. Created test plans and executed them. Learnt the workflow and process for software release in engine control module programs.
