Develops, implements, and releases new product BOMs and product structure. Works with key stakeholders to develop and implement new product manufacturing, test, and sourcing strategies. Engages in 3D solid model virtual analysis process, including Master Layout and Digital Mock Up. Actively participates in design reviews, providing DFA, DFAe, DFTp, ITO, and operational efficiency improvement feedback to new product development team to drive cost, quality, and cycle time goals. Develops the initial manufacturing strategy in alignment with the planned sourcing strategy. Estimates manufacturing Sequence of Events (SOE) cycle times and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new product. Leads the Managed Build process. Works with stakeholders to close and/or disposition issues documented via manufacturing NC, field NC, and SPS. Manages the development and validation of Operation Method Sheets (OMS) for new products. Manage Non Standard Requests (NSR) through completion. Manages change using the change management process (Supplier Problem Sheets, Engineering Specification Waiver, Engineering Change Order) Provides technical support and training to Applied and contract manufacturing resources, including piece part suppliers.
