About Dr. Ashwini Sood

I am a teacher and a researcher.I have taught over 2500 students till date. The subjects taught include Chemical Reaction Engineering, Process Heat Transfer and Chemical Engineering Fluid Mechanics.Research Interests: Modeling and Simulation of Emulsion Polymerization Processes, Rheology of Dispersions, Chemical Reaction Engineering. We have modeled and simulated emulsion polymerization of several monomers which include Styrene, Butyl acrylate and Methyl methacrylateWe have published or presented 60 research papers in peer reviewed national and international journals and conferences. Achievements :-Enrolled as a Fellow (Membership No: F-1297860) of the Institution of Engineers (India) on 7 June 2023.-Awarded IIChE Awards for the Year 2020: Chemical Weekly Award for the Best Paper published in the "Indian Chemical Engineer" in its issue of 2019 along with IIChE NRC Award for Best Paper in "Indian Chemical Engineer" 2019 and Kuloor Memorial Award for the Best Technical paper published in the Institute Journal "Indian Chemical Engineer" in its issue for 2019Paper: Tulika Gaur and A.
