It plays a crucial role in normal cell growth and differentiation. Abnormal activation or mutation of ALK can lead to uncontrolled cell proliferation, contributing to the development of cancers.Our role was to find small molecules similar to Lorlatinib, Brigatinib, Alzetinib, Crizotinib to inhibit ALK through docking (Bio via discovery studio).Worked on-Cell signaling pathways of Anaplastic Lymphoma Kinase (ALK)The ALK (Anaplastic Lymphoma Kinase) receptor is implicated in developing and progressing specific cancer types. Abnormal activation or mutation of ALK can lead to uncontrolled cell proliferation, contributing to the development of cancers.ALK signaling pathways such as Wnt signaling to stop cancer proliferation by understanding how ALK's intracellular and extracellular domain interacts with IQGAP and RSPO1, LGR4, LGR5 through molecular docking (HADDOCK)Nanoparticles to Cure Neurological Diseases -Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases, demand immediate attention due to their escalating impact on global health. Alzheimer’s disease occurs due to abnormal excess build-up of protein beta amyloid aggregated in and around brain cells which is neurotoxic. Nanoparticles are upcoming promise in treating brain diseases because the nanoparticles can easily cross the blood-brain barrier. These nanoparticles can be functionalized to target specific tissues that engages in target specific delivery. Worked on - Selenium nanoparticles are the best type of nanoparticles to cross the BBB and how it can provide needed selenium to the brain.EPIC (Piezoelectricity) -Our team's project, titled EPIC, was a solution for clean energy using piezoelectric cells. It was the first opportunity to pitch to an engaging audience of distinguished guests, top GEMS officials, and students. In a week, while preparing for the final day, I learned about the essentials of pitching from scratch and developed my pitching and presentation skills.This was done during the Arab Innovation Challenge Accelerator event held in Dubai, UAE
