Serve as second in command to the Executive Director by managing the work of two teams within the NY chapter - External Affairs and Organizing & Field. Serve as a member of the Local Leadership Team and hold significant responsibility in ensuring the overall success and sustainability of the chapter.

Manage the organization's largest outreach team through layers by coaching and supporting two managers of seven organizers across New York City. Build out cyclical issue campaign plans and organizing strategies responsive to educational and political climates. Hold team accountable to metrics and tactical goals.

Manage a staff of four Outreach Directors in Manhattan and the Bronx who organize teachers to advocate for themselves and their students as they speak to stakeholders and decision makers at the local and national level.

Lead planning and execution of 9 city wide events for hundreds of educators and stakeholders in New York City.

Educators for Excellence is a teacher-led organization that envisions an elevated, prestigious teaching profession in which educators are leaders both inside and outside of their classrooms and drive positive outcomes for students. We work to ensure that the voices of the classroom teachers are included in the decisions that affect our profession and our students.

Instructing over 100 students each year in two levels of Spanish grammar and vocabulary. Dedicated to teaching through project based learning, differentiation, and full immersion experiences. Heavily involved with my school community outside of the classroom including Student Council, Union, School Governance Council, and buildOn.

Training in Sales Force to track membership status and plan events. Assisted with member outreach, engaged and educated teachers on the importance of Union involvement, developed team building skills, and received expert training on community organizing.

Selected from approximately 45,000 applicants nationwide to join national teacher corps of recent college graduates who commit two years to teach in under-resourced public schools. Participate in intensive training program to develop the skills and knowledge needed to achieve significant gains in student achievement. Teach in a summer school program run by TFA for students in New York City schools under the supervision of a faculty of experienced teachers. Engage in a full schedule of professional development activities, including seminars, discussion groups, workshops, individual and group reflections, readings, and learning teams specific to my teaching license area.

Training in Raiser's Edge to track gifts, oversee the day to day operations of the Student Call Center, motivate successful fundraising with games and incentives, manage reports to ensure quotas are being met. Represent the case for charitable gifts to the university through the promotion of annual support from alumni, parents, and friends of the university, establish an open line of communication between the university and its supporters.
