Current1. Planning: Develop overall company strategy and create a strategic and operational plan.2. Organization: Create an organization chart with clear job descriptions and authority levels.3. Management Recruitment and Development: Develop a succession plan, provide in-house and outside training, promote from within, create a human resource plan, create new positions and actively recruit.4. Policies: Develop and review corporate policies with input from management.5. Standards of Performance and Performance Reviews: Establish clear standards of performance, conduct performance reviews, and implement performance improvement plans as necessary.6. Controls: Produce monthly reports, conduct quarterly reviews, and establish supplemental action programs.7. Management Morale: Increase management involvement in planning, facilitate salary discussions, and monitor management turnover.8. Product Development: Develop an overall strategy, hold quarterly priority meetings, provide status reports, develop new products, and manage development expenses.9. Community Relations: Develop effective public relations strategies and participate in community events.10. Profitability and Growth: Set clear profit objectives, monitor industry results, establish sales objectives, reduce dependency on single product/customer, increase market share, and monitor profitability by product line.11. Relationship with Board of Directors: Improve communication with the board, provide regular reports by executive managers, address board complaints, and establish clear CEO job descriptions and standards.
