As of Nov 2022, the Fleet Management and Import and Clearing Department have been merged to form the Logistics department. along with the previous responsibilities of Fleet Management, Import and Clearing bring along with it a new complexity and challenges including inbound transport. Major projects in this role include* Evaluation of Electric Vehicles as an alternative to current KE Fleet.* Integrated Tracking system for End to End monitoring of complaints and vehicles to provide a robust and complete real time view.* Sourcing and induction of new vendors in Fleet and I&C.* Identification and incorporation of Market Best Practices in Fleet Management and I&C.* Integration between Fleet and I&C to provide optimizations and efficiencies.* Development of new policies to reduce Demurrage and Detention costs

In this role, I am responsible for the management of the Company’s complete vehicle fleet consisting of 4000+ vehicles ranging from transport vehicles to technical specific trucks and Special vehicles. The scope includes operations and tracking services, vendor management, fuel management, maintenance, and Strategic projects.*Awarded Operations Excellence Achievement for realizing Rs. 124 million saving in FY22.* Awarded 3 safety related performance awards for 2021, Fire Safety and Housekeeping, Environment Excellence, and Safety Leader. First time in the history of K-Electric that one department has won all 3 awards.* Implemented proper corporate governance policies and went through job enrichment exercise for all employees of the department. Through this implementation, also tackled long overdue financial and operational matters and bringing them to a final closure.* Initiated process identification and re-engineering exercise to better bring in line current practices and formalize official department manual* Driving company position of moving from Own vehicle model to hired vehicle model by retiring old KE Owned Vehicles.* Managed high turnover in staff by building a new empowered team. Currently managing the same function with 50% employees.

In this role, I was responsible for the performance of my team of 7 procurement professional managing the services and asset procurement requirements of the Distribution department.  This entails all steps starting from vendor sourcing, quotations and bidding, negotiations, contract drafting and closure.Managed portfolio of both local and foreign purchasing amounting to PKR 17 billion including both capital expenditure, revenue expenditures and services contracts.  This portfolio quantifies to 400 PRs raised per month  Involves close monitoring over turnaround times to ensure PRs are timely translated. Maintaining the lead time of 10 days (the highest among the portfolio leads of KE)  Broke vendor cartel in services and material procurement through better vendor sourcing resulting in a Company Wide saving of Rs. 500 Million.Involved in the implementation of SAP Ariba in KE through which quotations and bidding process has been automatedª Monthly reviews with Internal / External stake holders (e.g User group, Finance, vendor etc) to ensure smooth operations and efficiency in TAT

In this role, manage the company wide hired fleet portfolio including operations, vendor management, and user complaintsManaged companywide Hired Fleet operations (1700 Hired vehicles) with 15 Fleet Vendors through effective coordination with KE internal customers and vendors to ensure maximum efficiency.  Developed complete MIS of Fleet hired and owned vehicles.  No such MIS was present before this.  Basis this MIS, managed the Fleet model change from owned vehicle to hired vehicle model by inducting professional hired vehicle vendors.Contingency planning for smooth running of Fleet operations during Emergency Situation (rain, heat wave).   Reinforced ‘Six Sigma’ in our Fleet operations for process optimization. This include vehicle / driver rationalization.    Implementation of SAP in the department by incorporating all vehicle data into the system and developing various portals for necessary approvals required for vehicle request.  Developed dashboards for quick and full monitoring of all Fleet Operation related matters.

- Assessed the KE wide business requirement pertaining to fleet services as finance business partner and deployed resources in the most optimum and efficient manner.- Compilation and finalization of annual REVEX budget pertaining to fleet services.- Monitored actual performance against budgeted targets and carrying out analysis for optimum resource utilization.
