With over three decades of experience in both public and private sectors, I have held senior administrative and development roles at Awan Investments Ltd, the Australian Government’s aid program (AusAID), the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (Australian High Commission, Kenya), and the Department of Communities (Queensland State Government, Australia). My tenure from 1985 to 2016 was marked by the coordination and management of significant Australian Government programs across Africa. In recognition of my substantial contributions to the Australian Government’s aid program in Africa, I was honored with an “Australia Day Achievement” medal in 2007.My career is distinguished by a profound expertise in government liaison, having worked in close partnership with numerous bilateral and multilateral decision-makers throughout Africa to achieve pivotal policy and development objectives. My professional journey has taken me across a multitude of countries, including extensive work and travel in Australia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, DRC, Djibouti, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Botswana, South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, and Mauritius.I possess a wealth of experience in collaborating within multi-disciplinary teams and leveraging a vast network of professional relationships to provide trusted market insights and financial advisory services. My role has been instrumental in facilitating cross-border investments and trade transactions for a variety of development projects within the COMESA and SADC regions. Additionally, I have cultivated a comprehensive network with the business community in East Africa.My expertise encompasses a unique blend of investment structuring and development management, enabling me to offer strategic advice to clients interested in investing in sectors such as energy, real estate, agriculture, ICT, and business.
