I am trained in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and have applied them in my research work for my dissertation, thesis and research papers. The last project I worked as a Consultant was an Impact Assessment Study of welfare schemes of BOCWWB, for the Government of Haryana's Labor Department. I have worked in a TISS Mumbai research project to study the impact of Covid-19 on informal sector labourers and how much they have been supported by the government schemes. My M.Phil. dissertation is a discursive analysis of Orientalism from a gendered perspective titled, ‘Critiquing Gendered Orientalism: A Study of the Works of Lila Abu-Lughod.’ For the Ph.D., I studied Edward Said’s works and critically analysed his contributions towards power/knowledge nexus. The thesis is titled, ‘Edward Said’s Critical Engagement with Knowledge and Power.’ I was also awarded NET-JRF by UGC in the year, 2012.
