I am an entrepreneur focused on the education sector, where I work on addressing a growing skills gap in professional learning that is exacerbated by new technologies. The ability to quickly learn on the job is becoming more important than ever.Previously, I founded OfficeHours, a training platform for challenging jobs on Wall Street such as private equity and investment banking. We helped solve a vital skills gap during COVID when new analysts were not getting hands-on training in rigorous industries. My first entrepreneurial venture taught me many lessons about operating a business and scaling it from the ground up. We bootstrapped OfficeHours and hit $1 million in revenue in less than two years of starting. I sold the company in early 2024.Prior to becoming a founder, I spent the first leg of my career in private equity. At Advance, I invested out of a $10 Billion pool of capital into private equity and growth equity, with a particular focus on Education Technology. Working on the acquisition of Turnitin, a $1.7 Billion deal for education software, was a highlight at Advance. Before that, I worked as a PE investor at MPE Partners, where I partnered with family- and founder-owned businesses to help scale them to the next level while preserving what the owners built. I started my career in investment banking after graduating with a B.S. in Economics from Duke University.
