Asil Ibrahim has over a decade of experience in communication and program coordination for projects relating to justice and human rights. Asil is the Communications Officer at the ILF West Bank in Palestine, where she has worked for more than 10 years. With the ILF, Asil monitors the provision of lawyers’ high-quality criminal defense services and evaluates programmatic impact. She conducts outreach to secure new partnerships and communicates messaging about legal aid to justice stakeholders and through media engagements to Palestinian communities.Asil also currently serves as a member of the Voices of SDG 16+ Stories of Global Action, which is a collaborative campaign to bring the work of civil society on SDG16+ to the global level of discussions at the United Nations.Asil is certified to conduct legal translation by the Palestinian Ministry of Justice. She has also worked with Al Ayyam Press in publishing and distribution. In 2011, she was elected to the Qulih Charitable Society Association, where she served as Director of Media and Public Relations. Asil earned her B.A. in English language and literature and was part of the International Visitor Leadership Program at the U.S. Department of State. She also received her Master’s in democracy and human rights in 2018 from Birzeit University in Palestine.
