Main Achievements:- Pitched proposals and won multiple bids.- Provided product design consultancy for various clients with ideas ranging from an easy to put on smartwatch to an open source 3D printable lock box.- Provided WordPress consultancy for safiyasretreat.com, which resulted in a significant increase in new clients and new client base within 1 month of completion.- Crafted a site for xyzreality.com, which helped raise seed funding.Other Achievements:- Created multiple successful websites by self-teaching and developing PHP/MySQL, HTML/CSS & Javascript skills. All were developed to take advantage of affiliate marketing opportunities.- Started a successful joint venture with SEO Consultancy Ltd. to address growth issues. This partnership resulted in our major site generating a net profit in excess of £1000 per month with costs less than £50 per month during its peak.

Main Achievements:Developed a high frequency data capturing electronics device and solution for a university study. The device was designed in SolidWorks, 3D Printed and prototyped using the Arduino UNO following DFMA principles. Other Contributions:- Formalised and developed a research study to be carried out at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital.- Lead the light-weighting project of the devices for improved ergonomics. - Developed SQL scripts to automate big data analysis for in-house decision support system.- Created screening and reporting methods for the new MUJO Clinic.- Designed marketing material for the new MUJO Clinic open day.Main role and responsibilities:- Design and develop improvements to current MUJO devices and technologies.- Formalise and lead research to prove commercial concepts.- Maintain current software and technologies liaising with multiple project partners.Other key skills developed:- Exposure to medical device regulations such as ISO13485 and ISO14971 along with the design history file.

Main Achievement:Created a new mechatronics based technology and developed a solution for Pharmacies and Hospitals nationwide, specifically for patient safety and increased efficiency (Potentially save the NHS £700m per year). Successfully designed mechanical parts in SolidWorks, 3D printed mechanical device, prototyped electronics and developed embedded software using the Arduino UNO following DFMA principles. Main role and responsibilities:- Create new technologies and develop innovative ideas to advance healthcare and medical devices sector.- Oversee and take lead of all engineering aspects of the business.- Lead the manufacturing of electromechanical parts of the prototype.Key skills developed and experience gained:- Quality management. - Working knowledge of ISO13845 and ISO14971. - Design controls. (User needs, design inputs, design outputs, design verification etc). - DFMA- Tolerance Analysis- Through beam sensor integration and interpretation.- Further developed a business understanding and knowledge of the healthcare market.- Began to learn design for injection moulding principles and medical device regulations in preparation for the next stage of design.

Main achievement:Successfully collaborated with surgeons and academics to investigate the effect of changing the critical shoulder angle (CSA) on biomechanics of the shoulder joint. Roles and responsibilities:- Significant modifications were made to a musculoskeletal model in MATLAB (UKNSM) to mimic changes to the CSA. Rotator cuff and glenohumeral joint reaction forces were analysed during multiple dynamic motions. Statistical analysis on this large dataset was conducted using IBM SPSS.- Presented to a wide audience ranging from surgeons and academics to students.- Efficiently chaired a shoulder team of 4 and managed multiple improvements to the musculoskeletal model in addition to successfully teaching new research engineers the workings of the model.Other Achievements:Developed a new method to model glenohumeral translations, which is to be taken forward by a new Ph.D. student.

Main Achievements:- The first to develop an idea to help patients with knee osteoarthritis using functional electrical stimulation (FES). This is now a major research area within the musculoskeletal biomechanics group at Imperial College London.- Awarded a grant of £2200 by EPSRC.Roles and Responsibilities:- Learned the lower limb musculoskeletal computational model (MATLAB and C/C++) to implement knowledge from literature research, test hypothesis and further learn how FES works and its current use on patients.- Presented preliminary findings and viability of the idea to academics and students.
