Working both sides of the brain, not only do I have a passion for the technical - transportation, science and numbers - but I also revel in being creative - writing and editing, and design direction. Writing and research have also been in my wheelhouse and a diverse mix of topics rise to the top of interests - transportation; fintech; cybersecurity; fitness, healthcare and wellness; and Biblical history and archaeology. Quick rundown: * Numbers-driven. Grew a more than 100-year-old Federal transportation magazine from 2,543 subscribers to more than 25,000 in less than 3 years! I've also never met a budget I couldn't wrestle or develop under a tight deadline and in record time.* Collaborative. Professional and detail-oriented fast learner? Absolutely. But I am also one who works well with others and values team members and enjoys supporting juniors in their career development.* Unafraid. I welcome a challenge or the opportunity to use my skills and science background in a new industry.* Content Master. Editing and content development specialist who has developed content for senior leadership in transportation and law enforcement that was deemed, "Perfect. No edits needed." From technical documents to blogs, press releases and website content, I am quick and thorough - even down to "Your bullet spacing is off" - to ensure what goes out is clean, organized and accurate. I am highly skilled at capturing voice and tone.* Organized and Analytical. Managing multiple issues of a magazine, sometimes a year or two out, takes brain power. I've got that. I also have a very long memory. When someone needs to know "When did we do X?" I am the one they call for the answers. If I don't remember it, did it really happen? (Answer - No) * Diverse. You hear that a lot but it's true. I have held positions in a unique range of industries, including publishing; engineering and planning; strategic communications and public relations; journalism; non-profit art gallery; and transportation logistics. See a need, fill a need! Or, in my case, see an opportunity and take the opportunity.*My title is just that: a title. There is so much more to me than meets the eye.
