i) New Works: - Planning, Co-ordination, Monitoring, Execution and Completion of Electro-mechanical works viz. DG Sets, Roof top Solar Power Plants, Lifts, Electrical Panels, Air-conditioning, EI works and CCTV/ Networking etc. for Postal Buildings and Staff Colonies etc. and to meet the specialized need of Projects viz. IPPB, Project Arrow, PoPSK, ATM’s etc.ii) Preventive/ Breakdown Maintenance of Electro-mechanical Equipments: - To carry out preventive/ breakdown maintenance of electro-mechanical equipments installed at Postal Buildings / Colonies.iii) Scrapping of Life Expired Equipments and their Replacement: - Timed scrapping of life expired and inefficient Electro-mechanical Equipments (DG sets/ Electrical Panel etc.) and their replacement with the suitable capacity equipments.iv) Technical Skill Development: - Keep updated about the latest trends & practices to improve energy efficiency of Electro-mechanical Installations viz. Sub-station/DG Sets/ Air-Conditioning/ Lighting/ Renewable Energy Generation etc. and to incorporate such trends and practices in the work specification.v) Energy Conservation Measures and Spreading of Awareness: - To improve energy efficiency in the buildings of DOP by carrying Energy Audits and adopting Tariff Measures/ Non-Tariff Measures. Further spreading of awareness about energy conservation among the staff and users of Postal Buildings.

i) Preparation of Preliminary Estimates and Detailed Estimates of maintenance and project works.ii) e-Tendering procedures.iii) Preparation of Market Rates for non DSR items.

i) Installation and Commissioning Works of, a) 132/33 kV Voltage Class Power Transformers and CT, CB of 220,132,33 kV Voltage class, with detailed Routine and Site testing as per IS 2026, IS 2705 IS 13118, IEC 62271 etc.b) Replacement of 11 kV BOCB by VCB Panel Boards.c) Erection and commissioning of 132 kV & 33 kV Transformer and Feeder Bays as per Approved Departmental Drawings. d) Earthing installations as per approved Drawings and as per IS 3043.e) Commissioning of Flooded type DC Banks and Stand by PUs.ii) Condition Monitoring Test i.e., i) Capacitance & DDF measurement of CT, Power Transformer, ii) DCRM & Time measurement including contact travel assessment of CB, iii) PI and DAR measurement of AC equipment,iv) LCM Testing of LAs and Earth Resistance measurement as per IS 3043 recommendations.v) Partial Discharge measurement of Indoor Panel Boards. vi) Thermo-vision Scanning of current carrying hardware components and bod temperature profiling of equipment.vii) SF6 gas pressure monitoring.iii) Preventive Maintenance, based on CM Test results and as per standard Schedule.iv) Supervision of sub-station’s standardized operation and real time monitoring of the same.

i) Monitoring of periodic billing activity and revenue collection.ii) Maintenance of 33/11 KV sub-station, 33 KV line, 11 KV line, Distribution Transformer and LT Distribution Line.iii) Erection of new HT & LT line.iv) New connection monitoring of L&MV consumers.v) Minimization of AT&C loss by following means:a) Load balancing and load management.b) Capacitor Installation (Shunt).c) Increase in HT: LT Ratio.d) Adoption of high voltage distribution system (HVDS).e) Regular maintenance of distribution network.f) Prevention of power theft by performing regular raid programme.g) Defective meter replacement.h) Regular disconnections of unpaid consumer.i) Ensuring accuracy in meter reading and billing activities.j) Uses of Aerial Bunched Cables in theft prone area.k) Shifting of meters outside consumers premises.l) Spot Billing, etc.vi) Power System improvements by following means:a) Replacement of overloaded conductor by suitable capacity.b) Capacity augmentation of Distribution Transformer.c) Shifting of Distribution Transformer to the load centre.d) Drawl of new HT & LT line.e) Installation of new Distribution Transformer, etc.vii) Carried out Govt sponsored project work like RAPDRP, RGGVY etc as well as departmental project work.
