Volunteer Position: I working with our Board and Volunteers to help make Colonial Beach more dog-friendly and dog-safe. We install and maintain Pet Waste Stations around Town on public and private property. We designed and raised funds and are working on a co-management agreement with the Town for the soon to be open Robin Grove Dog Park.

My Mom called it Cairn Cottage.Cairn Cottage has been my weekend home for 35 years and my full time home for almost 8 years.I have attended council meetings on a regular basis since 2013; I have served on the board and/or volunteered with over a dozen community organizations. I love this Town and I cannot imagine living anywhere else. Volunteer Position: During my tenure on the Board, I promoted the Foundation and events through social media and webpages.

Katie LaCommare, my research partner, and I established a long-term investigation of manatees and dolphins in the Drowned Caye’s off the coast of Belize City. The project was funded through by Volunteers, Donors, and Students via the Earthwatch Institute, and educational organizations.

Volunteer Position: During my tenure on the Board, I focused on membership recruitment and educational programs for our members.

Advising, mentoring, and teaching graduate level students in Marine Biology, Coastal Zone Management, and Environmental Education.

Participate in meetings to determine the direction of manatee conservation and research in Belize.

Advised on and participated in manatee conservation efforts in Belize.

Volunteer Position: During my tenure with Sirenian International, I provide support for colleagues and students dedicated to conservation of endangered manatee and dugong populations in developing countries around the world where resources are limited and often non-existent.
