Tyson J. Askew is an educator, author, speaker, and advocate for teacher-student relationships' effectiveness. He is a humble mentor to students and teachers, giving them strategies to accomplish goals for more significant outcomes in and outside of the classroom. His teaching and education passion has taken him from becoming a statistical failure to becoming a Ph.D. candidate. His graduate studies and research have focused extensively on the concept of teacher-student relationships, as they are the key to higher teacher self-efficacy, student motivation, and a more productive positive learning environment. Throughout Mr. Askew's teaching career, he has taught every grade level, including mentoring and developing college students and implementing his philosophy of teacher-student relationships within their educational process. He has been the recipient of awards such as Teacher of the Year and The Outstanding Educators Award, but his most favorable award of all is the look and shout of "I've got it" from his students when they have accomplished the task of learning!
