About Alexa Skopek

I am currently a social worker employed by the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools. I work for three different schools within the school district to include Stratford STEM Magnet High School and Cora Howe Special Day School. I work in conjunction with all members of the school staff as well as outside agencies and community resources to provide the best wrap around care for my clients. I strive to help students heal from a variety of mental health struggles such as anxiety, trauma, depression, abuse and other adverse experiences. I hold licensure as an LCSW and LSSW. I obtained a bachelors degree in counseling and human services and a minor in criminal justice from The University of Scranton, and a masters degree in Social Work from New York University. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist with much experience with crisis intervention for children and adolescents. I am also a supervisor for masters level interns who are interested in furthering their experiences in the field of school social work.I take pride in my role as a social worker and strive to help my clients grow and shape their lives for the better.
